Job Title: Regional Business Manager - Respiratory Portfolio

Location: Merseyside

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Field Force Manager to lead, manage, and develop our field sales team, driving growth and profitability across the region.

Role Overview:

As the Regional Business Manager, you will be responsible for leading a high-performing team to increase market share and revenue within our Respiratory Portfolio. You will play a critical role in aligning our strategic objectives with the needs of NHS customers, ensuring that our team is equipped to deliver exceptional results. Your expertise in sales management, coaching, and business planning will be key to your success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership & Development:
    Lead, manage, and coach a diverse team of field sales professionals to achieve and exceed sales targets. Conduct regular field visits to assess performance, provide constructive feedback, and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

  • Strategic Planning & Execution:
    Contribute to strategic discussions and marketing planning to ensure the effective implementation of corporate strategies. Deploy resources effectively to meet both regional and customer needs, aligning team efforts with business objectives.

  • Revenue & Market Share Growth:
    Drive revenue and market share growth of the Respiratory Portfolio by implementing robust business account management plans and identifying commercial opportunities. Develop financially sound business proposals to capitalize on these opportunities.

  • Talent Acquisition & Retention:
    Recruit, onboard, and retain high-calibre team members to ensure the consistent delivery of sales targets. Implement company-wide performance management processes, including performance appraisals and improvement plans, to support individual and team development.

  • Budget Management:
    Manage the regional budget effectively, maximizing the return on investment and ensuring optimal resource allocation. Provide input into the annual pay review discussions based on performance assessments.

  • Compliance & Performance Culture:
    Ensure adherence to the company’s performance culture, including all relevant policies and procedures. Foster a performance-driven environment where team members are motivated to achieve their full potential.

Candidate Profile:

  • Experience:
    Proven experience as a sales manager within the pharmaceutical industry, with a deep understanding of NHS dynamics and the Respiratory therapeutic area.

  • Skills & Competencies:

    • Leadership & Coaching: Skilled in leading, coaching, and developing teams with varying levels of experience and expertise.
    • Strategic Thinking: Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to create and execute effective business strategies.
    • Communication & Negotiation: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and compelling manner.
    • Business Acumen: Ability to develop robust business cases and manage regional budgets to maximize financial results.
    • Matrix Management: Experience working within a matrix management structure, with the ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics.
  • Qualifications:

    • ABPI Qualified
    • Full UK Driving Licence
