Our client has an exciting new opportunity for a highly motivated and customer focused Key Account Manager to join their team with a focus on territories across South London and the Southeast of England.

This role would suit someone with some demonstrable experience as a hospital sales representative or KAM and Ophthalmology is not a necessity as those who have worked across other therapy areas will be considered.

Important for this role is someone who is passionate about their work with a competitive edge as well as being patient centric with ability to partner with their customers.

 JOB’S MISSION

  • Uncover Product opportunities, drive adoption by customers and accelerate sales and market share target.
  • Promote the assigned product portfolio in close collaboration with the Customer Facing Team.
  • To design, manage and execute agreed key account plans in the designated area, driving value short and long-term value added and enhanced partner with key customers.

 KEY ACTIVITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • To provide critical feedback towards the commercial strategy and tactics. Feedback to include successes, barriers, market opportunities, issues and highlight key stakeholders.
  • To achieve and exceed key sales objectives as discussed and agreed with line manager.
  • Establish awareness and use of the product in target accounts. This should include formulary listing, stocking of the product and use in targeted departments.
  • Work cross functionally with local market access and MSL team to develop & execute Account plans that cognisant of the strategy for the brand and that drive successful achievement of the territory key deliverables.
  • Establish strong business relationships with all key customer groups (prescribers and payors) to maximise sales growth.
  • Consistently demonstrate in all customer interactions high levels of professional selling skills in-line with the company selling model.
  • Identify key customers across secondary care to be developed as strong advocates for the product.

  • Identify what the local health economy guidance is and establish local activity with key stakeholders to neutralise barriers or maximise support towards product inclusion.
  • Target key secondary care centres and priority units in order to gain rapid uptake of product portfolio.
  • Take a shared responsibility and ownership for continued education and acquisition of own and competitor product knowledge in order to perform to the appropriate company standard.
  • Develop and maintain timely and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, contributing to the overall performance and effectiveness of the team and company.

Requirements for the Key Account Manager:

·         Educated to degree level or equivalent experience

·         ABPI

·         Ophthalmology experience desirable
