Reporting to: Clinical Business Manager
Location: Remote working with occasional travel to HQ for training
Job Overview: The Clinical Nurse will be part of a dedicated out-of-hours service, providing high-quality patient care remotely. This role requires a proactive and highly skilled nurse who can work independently while maintaining excellent clinical standards. The nurse will be expected to attend periodic training sessions at the company headquarters to ensure continuous professional development and adherence to best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Care & Patient Support:
Provide high-quality patient care remotely, ensuring timely and effective clinical support.
Respond to patient needs, offering guidance and assistance in line with service protocols.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with company and regulatory guidelines.
Ensure adherence to clinical governance and best practices in all aspects of patient care.
Maintain clinical competence and participate in field support and patient visits where necessary.
Operational & Service Delivery:
Work efficiently within the out-of-hours service model, ensuring seamless service delivery.
Manage time effectively to meet service-level agreements and key performance indicators.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth coordination and communication.
Identify areas for service improvement and contribute to operational efficiency.
Compliance & Professional Development:
Comply with all service documentation, regulatory guidelines, and company policies.
Undertake mandatory training, including safeguarding, BLS, infection prevention, and anaphylaxis management.
Participate in audits, data collation, and clinical governance initiatives.
Maintain NMC registration and engage in continuing professional development.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Establish and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders, including NHS contacts and third-party providers.
Attend multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to patient reviews as required.
Provide detailed reports and updates on service performance.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current NMC registration.
Honours degree or relevant professional qualification.
Minimum one year of management experience (desirable).
Experience with CVAD, parenteral nutrition, or related clinical skills (desirable).
Key Requirements:
Full UK driving licence.
Previous experience in the NHS or pharmaceutical sector.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other digital systems.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
Commitment to patient safety and high-quality service delivery.
Satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure and pre-employment medical checks.
