Marketing Manager – Nordics


On behalf of Eisai, we are pleased to be recruiting a Nordic Marketing Manager to join their Nordic organisation.


This is a unique opportunity to join a global, research-driven pharmaceutical company. Working in a collaborative and international environment, you will play a key role in driving successful product launches and strengthening Eisai's market presence across the Nordic region.


Main Purpose of the Role


The Nordic Marketing Manager will lead strategic marketing and commercial initiatives across the Nordic region to maximise the value and impact of Eisai's current portfolio. A key priority will be to establish and strengthen Eisai's presence across the Nordics by leading the launch and lifecycle management of new brands and indications.


This role is responsible for designing and executing omnichannel strategies that enhance customer engagement, optimise the customer journey, and drive brand awareness and commercial performance. In addition, the position plays a critical role in accelerating business growth, securing optimal product access, and building long-term strategic partnerships with healthcare professionals.


Main Duties & Responsibilities


Strategic Marketing & Brand Management

  • Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities, risks, and competitive dynamics.
  • Actively represent the Nordic organisation at pan-European marketing forums.
  • Develop and ensure that agreed strategies and tactics are successfully implemented locally and aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead the execution of marketing strategies and tactical plans to drive the continued growth of existing brands and the successful launch of new brands and indications.
  • Deliver brand plans, launch plans, marketing materials, and launch support to the commercial teams.
  • Develop and lead omnichannel campaigns tailored to healthcare professionals, patients, and payers to strengthen Eisai's digital presence, including websites, CRM, social media, and other digital platforms.
  • Gather and act upon local market and customer insights to optimise business performance.
  • Position products effectively to maximise visibility and market uptake.
  • Take ownership and accountability for delivering agreed business objectives.
  • Lead the creation and localisation of digital content (e.g. eDetailers, banners, videos) in close collaboration with Medical, Legal, and Marketing teams.
  • Plan and manage the promotional budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and a strong return on investment. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders, including Purchasing and Business Effectiveness, as required.


Customer Engagement

  • Develop customer-centric marketing initiatives targeting healthcare professionals and other key stakeholders.
  • Understand customer needs and deliver tailored solutions that create mutual value.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with decision-makers, key opinion leaders (KOLs), hospital administrators, procurement managers, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage hospital and regional tenders and ensure product inclusion in formularies where applicable.
  • Plan and lead relevant congresses, symposia, and educational activities.


Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of brand strategies and initiatives.
  • Ensure that all communications and promotional activities comply with pharmaceutical regulations and ethical standards.
  • Maintain compliance with industry regulations, including GDPR and local industry codes.
  • Coordinate the review and approval of marketing materials through Medical, Legal, and Regulatory processes.
  • Stay up to date with evolving digital regulations and industry standards.
  • Support the Nordic Head Office functions as required.


Working Conditions

  • Office-based role.
  • Nordic and international customer-facing activities.
  • The role requires regular travel.


Working Relationships

  • Reporting directly to the Commercial Director – Nordics.
  • Close collaboration with Eisai teams across the Nordic countries, European regions, and EKC, working in a matrix organisation alongside Sales, Marketing, Medical, and Legal teams.


Person Specification


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Digital Business, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum of six years' experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven experience in brand management and strategic marketing.
  • Experience with omnichannel marketing, digital platforms, and customer journey mapping is considered an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Sound understanding of pharmaceutical compliance and regulatory frameworks.
