Inizio Engage partners with leading healthcare companies to deliver innovative commercial and medical solutions. We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a pharmaceutical company revolutionizing Erectile Dysfunction (ED) treatment with its ground-breaking product.
Our client’s UK team is expanding, and we are seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) with proven experience in the role. This individual will play a pivotal part in driving medical engagement, education, and scientific communication. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced MSL to contribute to the success of an innovative ED treatment and support broader medical affairs initiatives.
Role Overview
Reporting to the General Manager, the Medical Affairs Manager (MSL) will be responsible for engaging with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals (HCPs), and internal stakeholders to provide scientific support and ensure medical excellence in the commercialization of our client’s ED oral spray.
This role is field-based and centres on scientific engagement, medical education, and compliance oversight, while upholding the highest standards of ethical and regulatory practice.
Key Responsibilities
Scientific Engagement & Medical Education
Build and maintain scientific relationships with KOLs, Urologists, Sexual Health Specialists, GPs, and Pharmacists.
Deliver impactful scientific presentations and training to internal and external stakeholders.
Represent the company at medical congresses, symposia, and advisory boards.
Clinical & Scientific Communication
Act as a trusted expert, articulating the clinical benefits and positioning of the ED product.
Respond to HCP and pharmacy inquiries with evidence-based medical insights.
Review and contribute to scientific and promotional materials, ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Opinion Leader (KOL) Development
Identify, engage, and develop strong relationships with thought leaders in Urology and Men’s Health.
Organize and participate in advisory boards and expert panels.
Compliance & Regulatory Support
Ensure all medical activities are conducted in accordance with ABPI, MHRA, and internal policies.
Provide compliance training and support PV and adverse event reporting processes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Market Access teams to integrate scientific insights into strategy.
Support generation of real-world evidence (RWE) and contribute to post-marketing study design.
Key Requirements
Proven experience as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) or in a Medical Affairs role in pharma, biotech, or medical devices.
Scientific or healthcare background (e.g., Pharmacist, Nurse, Biomedical Science, or Life Sciences degree).
Knowledge of Erectile Dysfunction, Urology, or Men’s Health is desirable.
Strong communicator with a talent for explaining complex scientific concepts to a range of audiences.
ABPI-qualified and familiar with the ABPI Code of Practice.
Full UK driving license and willingness to travel nationally.
