To support the growth of this treatment, we are hiring two Pharmacy Managers – – to focus on driving commercial opportunities and partnerships with large national pharmacy chains.
Role Overview
Reporting to the General Manager, the Pharmacy Manager will be responsible for building and managing relationships with key pharmacy chains and wholesalers, ensuring widespread product availability and commercial success. This role will require strategic account management, negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of the pharmacy landscape.
Key Responsibilities
1. Commercial Strategy & Business Development
• Develop and execute a pharmacy engagement strategy to secure commercial agreements with large national pharmacy chains and wholesalers.
• Identify growth opportunities within the pharmacy sector to maximize market penetration.
• Negotiate pricing, distribution, and promotional agreements with key pharmacy stakeholders.
2. Key Account & Relationship Management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers at major pharmacy chains and buying groups.
• Ensure pharmacy partners are fully educated on the product, its benefits, and its commercial potential.
• Work with KAMs / NSM and Medical Affairs teams to ensure pharmacy strategies align with HCP engagement.
3. Sales Target Achievement & Market Expansion
• Drive sales performance within the pharmacy sector, meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform strategy.
• Work with supply chain partners to ensure smooth product distribution.
4. Compliance & Regulatory Adherence
• Ensure all commercial activities comply with ABPI, MHRA, and company policies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant pharmacy regulations and ethical guidelines.
Key Requirements
• Proven experience in a pharmacy-facing commercial role, such as Pharmacy Manager, National Account Manager, or Pharmacy Business Development Manager.
• ABPI Qualified
• Strong understanding of UK pharmacy networks, wholesaler relationships, and commercial negotiations.
• Experience working with large pharmacy chains, independent groups, or wholesalers.
• Excellent commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and strategic thinking.
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing to national sales strategy.
• Full UK driving license and willingness to travel within the designated territory.
