Role: Sales Support Planner

Location: Shepshed, Leicestershire

Vacancy Type: 12 Month Fixed Term


We are currently working with an international organisation that provides complete and innovative feed solutions for conventional and organic livestock farming to recruit a Sales Support Planner to join their fast-paced business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a “best in class” approach to customer experience management.
  • Confirming deliveries with customers for existing contracts using the Pre-Trading report. Updating notes on this report to provide full visibility for the Trading Team on potential sales gaps.
  • Update customers with monthly price updates, update SAP with correct pricing and haulage rates.
  • Provide support and cover for other Production Planners during holiday periods and absence.
  • Support for Co-Product Trading team as agreed with the Trading manager (Offering repeat spot order, forward contracts, pitting) etc
  • Responsibility for Sales Planning the Trading board.  Whilst confirming you should actively try to manage trading gaps to allow the trading time the maximum time to complete sales.
  • Sales order/Purchase order entry to support Production Planners as required.
  • Own all elements of Customer service with our customers.  This will include complaints, eta enquiries, delivery date enquiries, requests updates and  pricing queries.
  • Informing Traders of opportunities and competitor information.
  • Taking and managing incoming customer service calls.
  • Update the trading board as customer confirmations are completed to provide sales gap information.
  • Blocked order management.
  • To develop and maintain the input of information into C4C database system regarding all customer interactions.


Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • A level or equivalent.


Preferred Skills

  • 3 years’ experience in a customer service/planning team environment. In depth knowledge and understanding of the agricultural animal feed industry advantageous.
  • Ability to recognize strategic planning opportunities and the way in which to take best advantage.
  • Confident interpersonal and social skills with the ability to build relationships with people at all levels of business via the telephone or face to face.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to keep calm under pressure and deliver excellent customer service decisions.
  • SAP knowledge
