Therapy Area Specialist – Cardiology (Heart Failure)
Territory: Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Therapy Area Specialist to join a field-based team supporting the promotion of an innovative treatment in the heart failure space, with a focus on a rare and underdiagnosed condition.

This role is ideal for someone with strong clinical engagement skills, a passion for improving patient outcomes, and the ability to work strategically across a range of healthcare stakeholders in secondary care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Raise awareness of a complex cardiac condition, supporting early diagnosis and effective referral pathways
  • Engage and educate key stakeholders in secondary care, including cardiologists and multidisciplinary teams
  • Promote a specialised therapy through high-quality sales calls that deliver measurable outcomes
  • Build and manage relationships within key accounts to support uptake and guideline influence
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with medical, commercial, and access colleagues to align activities
  • Develop and maintain detailed account plans that align with broader brand and territory objectives
  • Utilise customer insights, data, and sales performance to inform priorities and adapt plans as needed
  • Record and track activity in CRM systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance

Skills & Experience

  • ABPI qualified
  • Background in secondary care sales, ideally within cardiology, rare disease, or oncology
  • Life Sciences degree or strong academic foundation in health/science preferred
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage a field-based territory
  • Proficient in using digital tools for customer engagement, planning, and reporting
