MSL Director Europe - Neurodegenerative Diseases (gn)

Based in Germany, remote

Responsibilities:

• Leadership: Lead and manage a team of MSLs across key European countries, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Field Work: Actively engage in MSL field activities in the DACH region, introducing a portfolio of biomarkers, and building and maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in neurology, specialized research labs, and other stakeholders.
• Strategy Deployment: Implement strategic plans to support the launch and commercialization of neurodegenerative disease test products, focusing on biomarkers and assays.
• Scientific Expertise: Provide scientific and medical expertise in neurodegenerative diseases, ensuring the team is well-equipped with the latest knowledge and insights.
• Training and Development: Mentor and train MSLs in collaboration with the Medical Affairs department, enhancing their skills and knowledge to effectively communicate complex scientific and medical information.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Europe and the US, including marketing, sales, and research and development, to align strategies and achieve business objectives.
• Compliance: Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Requirements:

• Education: Advanced degree (PhD, MD) in a relevant scientific field.
• Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience as an MSL, with at least 2 years in a leadership or larger international project management role. Proven track record in neurodegenerative diseases is essential. Ideally, candidates have specific experiences within the diagnostics and biomarker industry, which can be outside of neurology.
• Expertise: Deep understanding of biomarkers, neurodegenerative diseases, and assays. Ability to understand the value and position of the solution in this specific market. Relevant network with KOLs in neurology is a benefit.
• Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse remote-based team. Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile start-up organization.
• Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence KOLs and stakeholders, and to communicate at national and international conferences. Fluent in English and German.
• Travel: Willingness to travel extensively across DACH and beyond to support field activities and team management.
