Position: National Account Manager

Inizio Engage is delighted to be partnering with a driven pharmaceutical client, providing leading medication in the high-risk and very pre-term infant populations across the UK.


The National Account Manager will play a critical role in influencing key decision-makers, supporting formulary inclusion, and ensuring successful implementation within NHS Trusts.


The position requires a highly motivated and commercially astute professional who can navigate complex healthcare systems, influence clinical and commissioning stakeholders, and drive behaviour change to support optimal patient access.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive access and adoption within target NHS Trusts.

  • Influence product preference at Specialised Commissioning Lead level to strengthen competitive positioning.

  • Prioritise high-potential accounts and allocate resources effectively to maximise impact across a national territory.

  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including medical, marketing and other cross-functional teams, leveraging resources and aligning on market research initiatives to unlock new development opportunities, further strengthening organisational credibility

  • Identify and build strong relationships with key decision-makers within target trusts

  • Support NHS Trust readiness to facilitate ordering and adoption following launch.


What We’re Looking For:


  • Proven Key or National Account Management experience within the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Strong understanding of the NHS structure, commissioning pathways, and hospital formulary processes.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior clinical, pharmacy, and commissioning stakeholders.

  • A strong commercial mindset with a track record of driving access and product uptake.

  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills with the ability to navigate complex healthcare systems.

  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage a national territory effectively.

  • Experience within neonatal, paediatric, rare disease, or specialised commissioning environments would be advantageous.
