Business Manager
Job Profile: First Line Manager of a team of Remote E-Detailers, driving sales for a well-established, top 10 global pharmaceutical company. The Business Manager will develop and lead the team in the execution of remote customer engagement to achieve qualitative and quantitative measures of success, including sales targets, in call quality and key performance indicators. The Business Manager will develop, coach and performance manage direct reports, in line with business plans.

Key Responsibilities
- Acts at all times in line with Inizio Engage Values
- To review and manage the business within their team for the defined portfolio and to grow the sales profitably and sustainably in order to meet annual objectives.
- To proactively analyse business results across products and territories and the factors influencing the results in coordination with the marketing team, MED and channel lead, make recommendations for corrective action and/or positive evolution
- Lead, motivate and coach direct reports to achieve the required sales and activity objectives
- Measure performance and continually upskill direct reports, undertaking annual and quarterly performance reviews and implementing IDPs for each team member that include goals and measurements that are consistent with the priorities of the business
- Give direction to the team by translating strategic aims into SMART objectives
- Undertake recruitment activity to select high quality employees
- Effectively coach teams remotely made up of varying skills, ability and knowledge. More than 60% of time is expected to be spent coaching direct reports
- Develop, maintain and implement an operating rhythm to effectively manage the team, ensuring ongoing and effective communication to keep team members informed, motivated and engaged.
- Ensure Company policies and procedures adhered to.
- Ensure full compliance to ABPI code
- Demonstrate effective planning and organisation to deliver best results for the client
- To liaise closely with all relevant company and client departments

Competency/skill requirement and personal attributes for role:
- Experienced in undertaking recruitment activity to select high quality employees.
- Proven management experience that demonstrates driving high performance teams and constantly challenging what great looks like.
- Experience of managing a wide range of people and situations, including managing successful teams through client and organisational change situations
- Experienced in effectively coaching teams made up of varying skills, ability, knowledge and experience. At least 60% of time is expected to be spent coaching direct reports.
- Passion for coaching in call quality improvements
- Demonstrable ability to achieve high standards in:
- Written & verbal communication
- Organisation & Time management skills
- Ability to build rapport in person and during remote interactions with direct reports
- Performance Management
- Coaching and developing direct reports
- Ability to use IT effectively including Outlook, Word, Excel, telephony and platform capabilities
- Demonstrable ability to work effectively as part of a team to ensure that overall service objectives are achieved
- Leadership capabilities that demonstrate positive disruption, continual progress and a curiosity to find ways to perform to a higher standard
Essential
- Previous first line management experience of sales teams, either field or remotely based
- A good understanding of the NHS Environment
- A current driving licence
Desirable
- Experience of remote channel, working as an E-detailer or remote channel manager
- Previous contribution to successful multi-channel projects
